GRM Overseas Expands Global Reach with Chile Partnership, Boosts Brand Visibility with Salman Khan as Ambassador

GRM Overseas Limited, a key player in India’s basmati rice segment, saw its stock price increase by 4.3% on Wednesday, closing at ₹222.70 from a previous ₹213.50. The stock has a 52-week high of ₹288.60 and a low of ₹114.15, underscoring the company’s solid growth trajectory. Over the last five years, GRM has delivered a remarkable 1,670% return, with a cumulative growth of 5,000% in the last decade. The company’s market capitalization stands at ₹1,330 crore, supported by a robust return on equity (ROE) of 19% and a return on capital employed (ROCE) of 13%.

To fuel its international expansion, GRM recently partnered with Solariz Invest, a distributor based in Chile. This agreement makes Solariz the exclusive distributor of GRM’s “Tanoush” basmati rice brand across Latin America, marking GRM’s entry into this promising market. This collaboration aligns with the company’s vision of expanding global reach and enhancing brand visibility through established distribution networks.

In the domestic arena, GRM has strengthened its brand presence by appointing Bollywood superstar Salman Khan as the brand ambassador for its affordable “10X” product line. This new campaign includes bold and modern packaging, aimed at increasing product appeal and reinforcing GRM’s commitment to quality. The 10X brand features basmati rice and other FMCG staples like flour, aiming to establish GRM as a go-to brand both in India and abroad.

Beyond basmati rice, GRM offers products like Shakti Chakki Fresh Atta and a line of packaged biryani kits inspired by traditional Indian recipes from regions like Moradabad, Hyderabad, and Lucknow. These ready-to-cook kits further diversify GRM’s portfolio in the growing FMCG market.

As GRM continues to expand, both domestically and internationally, its strategic partnerships, innovative marketing efforts, and financial resilience position it as a formidable player in India’s FMCG sector, with a particular emphasis on basmati rice.
