During today’s pre-opening session, NIIT Learning Systems Ltd, Timken India Ltd, and Tata Elxsi Ltd emerged as the top gainers on the BSE, each seeing strong price increases.
- NIIT Learning Systems Ltd led the gainers with a 12.85% surge to ₹483.40 per share. The rally followed the announcement of its Q2 FY25 financial results on October 23, 2024, where the company reported a 4.06% year-on-year (YoY) revenue increase and a 21.66% YoY rise in net profit.
- Timken India Ltd climbed 6.2%, trading at ₹3,573 apiece. Despite no recent announcements from the company, this rise likely reflects market-driven momentum.
- Tata Elxsi Ltd rose by 5.83% to ₹7,399.95. This increase came after Foresight Autonomous Holdings announced a collaboration with Tata Elxsi to develop advanced driver assistance and autonomous vehicle technologies using Foresight’s 3D perception solutions. The partnership aims to focus on the Indian automotive market initially, with plans for global expansion across various sectors, including passenger vehicles, heavy machinery, and agriculture.
On the broader market front, the S&P BSE Sensex opened positively, with a gain of 259.25 points (0.33%). By 9:15 am, the index advanced further by 356.35 points (0.45%), reaching 79,758.64.
However, the sectoral landscape showed mixed trends. Metals dropped by 0.7%, power by 0.09%, and auto by 0.22% in the pre-opening session.
